- Quarter bag
760 × 460 mm / 30 × 18 in

- Fabric
Woven polyester, 62 g/m²
Opaque enough to keep flies off, open enough to let a quarter cool.
- Washes tested
40
Machine washed 40 times, then load-tested with a 34 kg quarter. No seam failure.

What it is made of
Woven polyester mesh62 g/m²
Not cheesecloth. Cheesecloth tears when a wet quarter is lifted.
Flat-felled seams
The seam is the failure point on every cheap game bag.
Drawcord closures
Closed to fly-proof, opened one-handed with bloody hands.
The full description
The job of a game bag is to keep flies and dirt off meat while letting it cool, and to still be intact when you lift it. Cheesecloth does the first two and fails the third — usually at the worst possible moment, halfway up a hill.
This is a woven polyester at 62 g/m² with flat-felled seams, washed forty times and then load-tested with a 34 kg quarter. Five bags in a set: four quarters and one for loose meat, packing to about the size of a fist.
One note on the law, because it varies: several states require evidence of sex or species to stay naturally attached to a quarter. Bagging meat does not change what you are required to leave attached. Check your regulations — they are not the same across a state line.
Bought for
Any hunt where the animal leaves in pieces on your back.
Not for
Long-term storage or freezing. These are transport bags, not packaging.
Field notes
- 01Get quarters off the ground and hung in shade with air moving. A bag does not cool meat, air does.
- 02Bag before you carry, not after. A quarter that has touched dirt has to be trimmed.
- 03Wash them the day you get home, inside out, cold, no softener. Hang to dry.
On the bench
40
wash cycles before load testing
Our own testing, on production samples, with the method stated in the spec table above. Nothing here is a claim about what will happen on a hunt.
