The full description
Grid fleece works because it is not solid: the raised grid holds air against you while the channels between move sweat outward. It is the single most useful piece in a western kit, and it is the layer you will end up wearing on nine hunts out of ten.
Cut close so it layers under a shell without bunching, with a hood sized to sit under a beanie rather than over one. Thumbholes because gloves and cuffs fight each other otherwise.
The dry-time figure is the one to read. On a hunt where you sweat on the way in and then sit down, how fast a layer dries matters more than how warm it is when new.

Not for
A standalone outer layer in wind. Grid fleece is a sieve by design — put the Wind Shirt 42 over it.
