The full description

Most people buy a matched-weight top and bottom, which is backwards. Your upper body is working on the walk in; your legs stop producing heat the moment you sit down in a saddle or a blind. This bottom is knitted at 230 g/m² for exactly that.

Gusseted crotch, flatlock seams, and a flat waistband that does not stack under a pack belt. Ankle cuffs are cut narrow so they stay under a boot rather than bunching at the top of it.

Bought for

Late-season sits, saddle hunting, and any hunt where you stop moving in the cold.

Not for

Warm-weather hunts and hard hiking — 230 g/m² is too much fabric to sweat through on the way in.

Field notes

01Cuff goes inside the sock, not over it. Over the sock, it wicks water off wet ground straight up your leg.
02For a walk-in of more than a mile, carry these and put them on at the tree.
03Wash cold on wool, hang dry. Hot air shrinks these more than the crew because of the knit weight.
