The full description

A saddle is life-safety equipment. This one is third-party certified to ASTM F2949, the standard written for tree-hunting equipment, and the certificate number is printed both on the Field Card and on a sewn label inside the panel. If a piece of climbing equipment cannot show you that, do not buy it — from us or from anyone.

Two-panel construction with a 305 mm sit height, an adjustable 7 mm Amsteel bridge you can move one-handed under load, and dump pouches on both hips. It is cut for a lean-back sit rather than a hang, which is what most people find they can stay in for six hours.

It ships without a tether and without a lineman's rope. Those are in the Tether & Lineman Set, and the two go together — a saddle on its own is not a system and we will not imply otherwise.

Whitetail hunters who move stands often and want to carry the whole setup in one trip.

Not for

Anyone climbing without a tether and a lineman's rope, or anyone over the 136 kg rated weight including gear. Both are hard limits, not guidance.

Field notes

01Practise at knee height, on the ground, before you climb with it. Every time you change the bridge length, practise again.
02Inspect every strap and stitch line before every hunt. Retire the saddle after any fall event, regardless of how it looks.
03Bridge length sets your sit angle. Shorter is more upright; longer leans you back. Find yours at three feet, not at twenty.

Construction, care and warranty

Construction: Two-panel design in brushed polyester over closed-cell foam; certified load-bearing webbing throughout; 7 mm Amsteel bridge with adjustable soft shackles; forged aluminium bridge hardware; bar-tacked and load-tested at every junction; assembly certified to ASTM F2949.
Care: Store dry and out of sunlight — UV is what ages webbing. Inspect before every use. Never wash with solvents or bleach; mild soap and water only.
Warranty: Five years against defect. Any saddle involved in a fall is replaced at half price, no questions, because we would rather you retired it than kept using it.
